Gentle Chiropractors, Safe Chiropractic - Austin TX

Gentle chiropractic, powerful results.
Chiropractor in Austin, TX - Find your zen!
Forget what you know about chiropractors. We're different. Most chiropractors try to arrange bones into certain positions to release pressure from nerves. Practitioners of this approach often "crack" or "pop" joints in order to shift your bones into place. Many people find relief and positive benefits with this approach. If this is the method you like, we might not be a good fit for you.

We prefer to guide your body toward a balanced state with precise and gentle chiropractic movements. Because we focus on your nervous system rather than bone positions, we need only a tiny stimulus to get big results. How is that possible? Since your nervous system is highly sensitive, it will respond quickly to new information. Our method is so precise and gentle that you are unlikely to experience any joint cracking whatsoever. Given the right stimulus, your body will naturally adjust into a proper position of its own accord.

If you need to find gentle chiropractic care in Austin TX, we offer an experience unlike any other. Our stylish office space, zen-like setting and friendly service will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated for whatever life throws at you.

What specific techniques do you use?

A deep knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neuroscience, and chiropractic techniques informs our practice. Combined with our clinical findings from your initial examination, we tailor our approach to your needs.

We employ methods within the chiropractic field that are often called non-force adjustments. We draw upon principles of several chiropractic techniques to deliver the best elements of each, including Direct Non-Force Technique (DNFT), Activator, Craniosacral, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT), Cox Flexion/Distraction, and Network Spinal Analysis.

In reality there is no such thing as a "non-force" adjustment. Sometimes we deliver a small quick impulse at a specific angle to wake up a sleeping sensory receptor. Sometimes we press lightly at either end of a
muscle to normalize the function of the muscle. Sometimes we move the body in stretching positions to engage the meningeal or fascial tissues, and then hold for a few minutes to allow a relaxation response. But one thing we don't do is "force" a bone into position.

In effect, we help your body to relearn how it should move so that it finds balance of its own accord. Reawakening and guiding these self-regulating systems in your body gives you lasting results. That's why we don't sell long-term contracts like many chiropractors. We don't want you to sign up for an endless string of visits. Our goal is to get you functioning so well that you can go for six months or more between visits -- just like that routine visit to the dentist.
